Help and hope for families affected by Alzheimer's and related dementias

We at the Gathering Place know that these are unsettling times for caregivers. Many of our volunteers are or have been caregivers and we know how important the four hour break we provide is to you. We are truly sorry that COVID-19 is causing such a disruption in our services to you. We are monitoring the situation closely and looking for novel ways to safely restart our socials as soon as possible.

Our founder, Brenda Maust,  has developed a one page flyer for caregivers about how to provide care during social distancing. She is also setting up a weekly email distribution  with stimulating activities that caregivers can do with their family member at home. I have set up a caregiver "Hot Line"  where caregivers can call several of us to ask care giving questions or just "talk." These items are accessible on this page.

I know these are unprecedented times. We will survive this. Please remain positive and keep yourself and your loved ones safe. God is good 🙏
