The goals of the Brazoria County Alzheimer's Awareness Project are to provide information about dementia and to encourage early detection.
Each fall, the group partners with the Brazoria County Library System and senior independent facilities to provide memory screenings. For 11 years, BCAAP has sponsored one of the largest community-based screenings in the United States.
Annual activities include Caregiver Conferences and Resource Fairs, and Recognition and Response training for First Responders hosted by the Sheriff’s Office.
